2016
Site-specific performance by Marta Lodola, duration 1 hour and 30 min. Materials: trash bag, rose plants, small vases, soil, public engagement
Event 48Stunden Neukölln, Luisa Catucci Gallery Berlin 2016
I lay down on the street hidden in a trash bag without moving, only my hair can be seen outside. I hold a rose plant without vase in my hands. Some people don’t notice me, others interacts with me, others are alarmed by my immobile figure and call the police.
When I come out breaking the bag, I reveal what I have with me, the plant torn to pieces, that I place in the hand of every person around. I ask them to take care of them for me.

(second version)
Site-specific performance by Marta Lodola, duration 1 hour and 30 min. Materials: trash bag, elegant suit, plant’s bulbs, black textile, red wool, soil, public engagement
Event WIPAW Warsaw International Performance Art Weekend, curated by Anna Kosarewska
I lay down on the floor of the gallery space, hidden in a trash bag without moving, only my hair can be seen outside. I hold in my hands plant bulbs and soil wrapped in black cotton cloth. The public is all around in a circle. I come out from the plastic in an elegant suit and heels. I blindfold myself covering my face with my hair and wrapping my head with red wool. I intuitively reach different people and I give them the small package with the bulbs inside, whispering “Can you take care of them for me?”
