Site-specific action performed along the former Berlin Wall in the Flutgraben building, using founded objects, characterized by repetition. Performance by Marta Lodola, duration 1 hour. Materials: concrete block, metal table structure.

On the entrance stairs, I look outside a window while I hold a heavy concrete block in my arms. I repeat the phrase “Art is space, art is in our heart”, sliding the weight along the main corridor’s floor. Then I access the gallery space by carrying the metal structure of a table on my body. I stand on it, always repeating the same phrase.
Then I rotate the metal structure and put it in vertical position in order to create a door, through which people can pass. I ask the public to close their eyes and listen to their breath, to go deep until their reach their own heart, where they can find their unique and special voice. I ask them to observe colours, shapes and emotions and to hold what they experience for a while. I invite them to open their eyes and to enter in their own special inner world by walking through the metal “door”. I hold the hand of every person who enters that space. The action ends with me saying: “Here you are in your own special and unique world. You are in your own heart. Remember to preserve and manifest it in your reality, every day of your life.”
